The Transatlantic Policy Symposium (TAPS) is an annual conference fully organized and run by graduate students of the Center for German and European Studies at Georgetown. We bring together academics, students, and professionals from around the world to discuss pressing issues at the heart of the transatlantic relationship.
History of the conference
TAPS was born in 1996 from a desire to connect future transatlantic leaders and generate ideas aiming to solve problems and increase our resilience. Through two decades of evolution, the conference has gained a social media presence, transitioned from presentation- to panel-based, and widened its appeal to the general policy community. We are excited to see where TAPS will take us in the future!
